Michelle Clare has been commissioned to make a new silver drinking cup for the Lord Mayor to use at ceremonial events. She says "I am fascinated by the history of Sheffield's silver industry, and my work is in part inspired by the traditional hollowware produced here. I'd like the cup to act as conversation starter between people and reflect the friendliness of the city and willingness of the people to engage with one another and make others feel welcome".
